Canned wine. This 'nice' company, that has had considerable success with distribution as you can see, was co-founded by Lucy Wright, the daughter of Martin Wright whom some older UK wine drinkers may remember from his time at Laithwaite's and, subsequently, Hedley Wright. She was inspired by seeing wine in cans in the US and is highly motivated by the eco-credentials of the can. Nice Drinks is trying to shake up the 'slightly stuffy' UK wine trade and runs a mentoring programme for young people. See also their Malbec.
Very pale pink indeed. Based on Languedoc Grenache apparently. Pretty neutral nose and quite a bit of fruit on the plate - along with a slight prickle of carbon dioxide. Cleverly neutral and refreshing. Nothing wrong with this, which is still pretty lively. 12%
